Vacuum infusion technology combines elements of other methods (RTM, vacuum bagging). The infusion is a technique that uses a vacuum to impregnate reinforcement with resin. The process consists of applying of gelcoat and reinforcement fabrics and/or dedicated sandwich core materials. Then, the mould is covered with foil and, after thorough sealing, the air is evacuated to a vacuum pump and the resin is fed to a resin reinforcement. Vacuum infusion technique has many advantages, including:

stronger and lighter products

favourable reinforcement-resin ratio

less resin waste

pure production area
